Based on official technical specifications and firmware code analysis, it has been confirmed that the US version of the iPhone 18 Pro Max stands out as the sole model in the series to incorporate a Qualcomm modem chip, specifically the Qualcomm Snapdragon X80 5G modem. In contrast, the US version of the iPhone 18 Pro, along with the Pro and Pro Max models sold in other global regions, has transitioned to Apple's proprietary C2 5G modem chip.
