This year, the inventory is notably more plentiful than that of last year's iPhone 17 Pro, resulting in a reduced waiting time for delivery. However, in the secondary market, the iPhone 18 Pro has met with a tepid response, with prices dipping below its initial issue price. In contrast, the highly sought-after Pro Max variants are being resold at a premium by scalpers. Notably, the 256GB and 512GB Burgundy models are in the highest demand, whereas models with exceptionally large storage capacities continue to see relatively lackluster interest.
Concurrently, quality control issues have surfaced with the initial batch of sales models, manifesting as dents in the frame, inconsistent color application, and burn marks on the lenses. Industry experts anticipate that the forthcoming iPhone Duo foldable models may emerge as a focal point for both inflated resale prices and quality control challenges.
