Apple's latest AirPods 5 wireless earbuds are now officially available for purchase. The version equipped with a USB-C charging case starts at 999 yuan, while the variant with a wireless charging case is priced at 1,149 yuan. For customers in Beijing, Jiangsu, Dalian, and Jilin, a 15% national subsidy is available for delivery addresses in these areas. Additionally, trade-in subsidies can amount to as much as 220 yuan. These earbuds boast a tipless design and, for the first time in their category, incorporate active noise cancellation. Their noise reduction capability has been enhanced by up to 50% compared to the AirPods 4, along with an optimized Transparency mode. When it comes to audio quality, the AirPods 5 feature a new multi-hole acoustic structure and next-generation adaptive equalization technology, while also supporting personalized spatial audio. The wireless charging case version is further equipped with a force sensor, facilitating effortless volume control. In terms of battery performance, with active noise cancellation activated, the earbuds can deliver up to 5 hours of playback on a single charge—an hour longer than the previous model—and up to 22 hours when used in conjunction with the charging case. Moreover, the earbuds support head gesture commands for Siri and adaptive audio functionalities.
