Apple recently announced that with the release of iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and macOS 27, new child safety and parental control features are now available. These features include: a simplified setup process for new child accounts; a new 'Ask to Browse' feature requiring parental approval for children to access new websites; expanded communication safety protections to block violent and bloody content; a new time allowance feature to manage app usage duration based on expert recommendations; and a redesigned 'Screen Time' providing usage overviews and one-tap adjustment of access permissions. All devices in a Family Sharing group must be updated to the corresponding system versions to use these new features.
