The Ministry of Commerce, in collaboration with eight additional departments, has collectively unveiled the Action Plan for Boosting Smart Home Consumption. This plan aims to refine the evaluation criteria for the intelligence grading of smart home products and speed up the process of establishing and enforcing mandatory national standards for smart home interoperability, thereby fostering the seamless integration of comprehensive smart home systems. Simultaneously, it advocates for basic telecom companies to activate IPv6 capabilities by default in home broadband network equipment, aiming to boost IPv6 connection rates. For newly constructed, fully furnished residential buildings, the plan clearly mandates the installation of fundamental smart products indoors and promotes the implementation of fiber optics to each room. Moreover, it will persist in driving forward the formulation and utilization of pivotal standards for smart homes and smart communities.
