At this year's Apple autumn new product launch event, only three smartphone models were unveiled: the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and iPhone Duo. Notably absent was the standard iPhone 18 version. Nabila Popal, Senior Research Director at IDC, pointed out that this marks the inaugural instance where Apple has omitted a base model iPhone from its autumn launch lineup. Typically, standard version models contribute around 16% of Apple's global iPhone shipments in the latter half of the year.
