Apple has introduced a 'Reference Image' feature in its newly released iPhone18 Pro series, enabling digital verification of whether photos have been AI-modified. During shooting, the main camera sensor captures signed data, which is used to generate an 'immutable image' through Apple's 'Private Cloud Compute.' If the photo is edited, users can view the original image to compare the differences. This feature supports sharing photos with signatures and reference signatures, but it is currently not available in the EU and Chinese markets.
