Apple is set to finalize the transition of its CEO on September 1 (local time). John Ternus, currently serving as the Senior Vice President of Hardware Engineering, will step into the CEO position. Meanwhile, Tim Cook will shift to the role of Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors, where he will continue to handle communications with global policymakers and undertake other responsibilities.

Once Ternus assumes office, his foremost priority will be to preside over Apple's autumn new product launch event on September 9. Among the highlights of this year's new product lineup are the debut of the first foldable iPhone and a smart display that can identify speakers and adjust content accordingly. Furthermore, Ternus will also be responsible for overseeing longer-term product development, including AirPods equipped with cameras, smart glasses, home security systems, robotic arm displays, and wearable cameras. These innovative devices are of paramount importance for Apple to sustain its success in the age of artificial intelligence.
