Google is reportedly contemplating the relocation of its entire Pixel product line—including smartphones, smartwatches, and wireless earbuds—from China to Vietnam and India, with the transition slated to commence in 2027. This strategic move is primarily aimed at mitigating supply chain vulnerabilities. Google has already informed its suppliers of its intention to manufacture all Pixel products overseas starting next year.

The decision is bolstered by the successful production of high-end Pixel phones in Vietnam this year, instilling Google with confidence in the feasibility of this plan. Should the relocation proceed without hiccups, Google will join Samsung as the second global brand to shift its smartphone manufacturing operations out of China.

According to informed sources, Google is under no pressure to market Pixel phones within China and stands to benefit from the well-established smartphone supply chain ecosystem that Samsung has cultivated in Vietnam, where production is currently proceeding seamlessly.
