According to the most recent data released by the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT), in June 2026, the total shipments in China's domestic mobile phone market hit 19.149 million units, marking a year-on-year decline of 15.3%. Specifically, shipments of 5G smartphones reached 16.201 million units, making up 84.6% of the total. When it comes to brand origin, shipments of mobile phones from non-Chinese brands soared to 3.28 million units, representing a month-on-month increase of 66%. In contrast, shipments of Chinese-brand mobile phones witnessed a year-on-year drop of 23.1%. Overall, the market exhibited a downward trend, but non-Chinese brands managed to achieve growth, going against the general market flow.
