Recently, a significant number of Microsoft 365 subscribers have voiced their frustration over the persistent upgrade prompts that keep appearing within Microsoft Office applications. These intrusive notifications repeatedly pop up in the top-right corner of apps such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, displaying messages like “Upgrade your subscription plan” and, frustratingly, cannot be dismissed. When users click on these prompts, they are redirected to an upgrade page that promotes higher-tier subscription plans. Many users feel that such promotional content is superfluous for those who have already paid for a subscription and argue that it significantly detracts from their overall user experience. To date, Microsoft has not issued a response regarding this issue.
