On July 24, it was reported that Apple is urging its suppliers to slash the prices of OLED panels used in iPhones, as a strategic move to mitigate the cost burdens stemming from the escalating prices of memory semiconductors. Specifically, Apple has put forward a proposal to purchase iPhone 18 Pro Max OLED panels from suppliers at a price of approximately $70 each. Within the industry, there are expectations that the actual average supply price from key suppliers Samsung Display and LG Display will hover around $66.5.
