On July 24, reports surfaced indicating that Apple is in the process of developing its next-generation MacBook Neo, with an anticipated release date set for 2027. This upcoming model is poised to incorporate the advanced A19 Pro chip, promising a substantial boost in performance. Specifically, CPU single-core and multi-core tests are projected to run approximately 10-15% faster compared to the A18 Pro, while GPU performance is expected to see an impressive increase of up to 40%. Memory-wise, the MacBook Neo 2 will see an upgrade from the current 8GB to a more robust 12GB, offering users a more generous operating space for multitasking and accommodating future macOS features, as well as bolstering on-device AI capabilities. Furthermore, the MacBook Neo 2 might also introduce a fresh array of color choices for consumers.
