Electric aviation company Beta announced on Friday that it had completed the first test flight of the U.S. government's comprehensive electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) pilot project, aimed at advancing the vision of flying cars. The aerospace company, which is backed by Amazon, stated that the test flight transported artificial organs for United Therapeutics between airports in Maryland and Virginia, covering a total flight distance of approximately 275 nautical miles.
