According to recent reports, Lens Technology, a renowned leader in foldable screen glass processing, is poised to become a key supplier for Apple’s upcoming foldable smartphone. The company will provide UTG (Ultra-Thin Glass) covers, renowned for their flexibility and durability, for Apple’s first foray into the foldable phone market. Mass delivery of these components is anticipated to commence by the end of the second quarter of this year. Lens Technology's current production capacity is more than sufficient to meet the projected sales volume for the foreseeable future.
In addition to its collaboration with Apple, Lens Technology is already a major supplier of structural components for a wide range of foldable smartphones on the market.
Meanwhile, Foxconn, Apple’s long-time manufacturing partner, has been entrusted with the assembly of Apple’s inaugural foldable smartphone. To accommodate this new project, Foxconn’s A Business Group has ramped up recruitment efforts at its Longhua facility. The hiring spree includes temporary workers, summer interns, hourly staff, and full-time employees. Notably, temporary workers are exempt from medical examinations as part of the onboarding process, streamlining the hiring timeline to meet production demands.
