Xiaomi Group’s Mobile Phone Division has recently undergone a significant personnel reshuffle, with Ge Weiyan, the former General Manager of the Shenzhen Region, being promoted to the position of General Manager of the Mobile Phone Camera Division. In his new role, Ge will directly report to Xu Chunli, the Vice President of the Mobile Phone Division and concurrent General Manager of the Hardware Engineering Division. Ge Weiyan, who holds a Ph.D. in Electronic Engineering, brings a wealth of experience from his previous stints at renowned tech giants Qualcomm and Apple. Since joining Xiaomi in 2014, he has held various key positions, including General Manager of the Mobile Phone Testing Division and General Manager of the Shenzhen Regional Headquarters.
