Recently, the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) has established a new internal division—the Low-Altitude Safety Department. This department is tasked with drafting comprehensive development plans for low-altitude civil aviation, coordinating efforts to ensure both safety and growth in this sector, as well as setting up a low-altitude flight service scheduling platform and a corresponding service station system. This move represents the second instance of a state-level management body dedicated to low-altitude concepts, following the earlier creation of the Low-Altitude Economic Development Department by the National Development and Reform Commission.
