The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration announced that during the 2026 USA-Canada-Mexico World Cup, no-drone zones will be established around competition venues, fan activity areas, and team accommodations. On match days, without special approval, no aircraft may fly within a 3-mile radius of the stadium and below an altitude of 3,000 feet above ground level. The no-fly zone around fan activity venues will cover a 1-mile radius and altitudes below 1,000 feet above ground level. Drone controls will also be implemented in areas such as team accommodation hotels. Violators will face fines of up to $100,000, confiscation of drones, and federal criminal charges.
