On May 27, 2026, during the pre-event forum of Computex Taipei, Acer Chairman Jason Chen highlighted that the constrained supply of CPUs has emerged as the main bottleneck within the PC industry supply chain. He expressed expectations that the growth trajectory of the PC market in the latter half of the year would be less robust compared to the first half. Nevertheless, due to rising product prices, the overall output value of the industry for the year is projected to surpass that of the previous year. As of the end of April 2026, Acer has maintained double-digit year-on-year growth in shipments, with revenue growth outstripping that of shipment volumes. Furthermore, Jason Chen forecasted that the demand for notebook computers would experience a further downturn in the second half of the year.
