According to reports, Apple intends to fully integrate its self-developed C2 baseband chip across the entire iPhone 18 series, set to be unveiled in autumn 2026, thereby eliminating its dependence on Qualcomm. The C2 baseband, crafted using TSMC's cutting-edge 4nm manufacturing process, supports both Sub-6GHz and millimeter-wave dual bands. This advanced technology ensures exceptional performance in areas with weak signal strength, while also markedly improving call quality and data transfer speeds. Furthermore, in tandem with iOS 26.3, the iPhone 18 series will introduce a 'Limit Precise Location' function.
