Samsung has officially commenced the global rollout of the One UI 9 Beta 1, a test version built upon Android 17. This beta release has been made available in select regions across the United States and Europe, with testing activities now in full gear. The One UI 9 Beta program will progressively extend to Samsung S26 series users in various markets. Presently, certain users in Germany and the United States have already been graced with the update, with S26 Ultra owners being given priority.
The system update package, weighing in at 3.6GB, incorporates the security patch dated May 5, 2026, and has been subjected to thorough optimizations across twelve pivotal areas. It not only refines the Samsung DeX functionality but also introduces a broader array of customization options for the Quick Panel. The Beta testing phase is slated to span several months, during which Samsung will fine-tune the system based on valuable user feedback. Following the completion of multiple testing rounds, the official version will be made accessible to a wider range of models.
