In the first quarter of 2026, the global smartphone market demonstrated robust growth, with total revenue soaring to US$117 billion, marking an 8% year-on-year increase. Apple emerged as the clear leader, capturing the top spot with a commanding 48% share of the revenue. Its business revenue surged to US$56.994 billion, reflecting a 22% year-on-year rise in sales, while the average price of its new models climbed to US$908. Samsung trailed closely behind, securing an 18% revenue share and experiencing a 4% uptick in revenue. OPPO, Xiaomi, and vivo occupied the subsequent positions, with revenue shares of 6%, 5%, and 4%, respectively. Notably, Xiaomi faced a challenging quarter, with shipments declining by 19% year-on-year and revenue dropping by 18%, indicating a performance slump across most regions. At present, the ongoing shortage of DRAM chips has posed challenges to the industry, and there are speculations that the iPhone 18 may undergo a price adjustment in the coming months.
