Recently, the DF3000 engineering prototype—the world’s first 3-ton hybrid passenger electric Vertical Take-Off and Landing (eVTOL) aircraft, independently developed by Dream Chaser Aerospace Technology—achieved a significant milestone by successfully completing its maiden flight in hybrid power mode. This milestone was accomplished using a 300-kilowatt-class turboelectric range extender. Throughout the flight, the power output remained consistently stable, the system coupling proved highly reliable, and the maiden flight verification proceeded exactly as planned.

This model boasts a maximum takeoff weight of 3,175 kilograms, an effective payload capacity of 600 kilograms, and an impressive range of up to 1,000 kilometers. With its spacious interior, the DF3000 is ideally suited to meet the demands of intercity commuting and high-end travel, offering a practical solution that reduces reliance on extensive charging infrastructure.
