According to foreign media reports, Samsung is in the process of developing a new line of Galaxy Book laptops that will run on the Android operating system. These laptops will come pre-installed with the One UI 9 interface, which is built upon Android 17, and there's a possibility that they might transition to a next-generation ChromeOS (internally codenamed Aluminium OS) that is fundamentally based on Android. The integration of One UI into the Galaxy Book series is poised to markedly elevate the uniformity of the user experience across Samsung's diverse range of devices. Samsung has outlined plans to introduce Android-powered Galaxy Book models across three distinct segments: entry-level, mid-range, and flagship. The flagship variant will boast a sleek and lightweight design, although its final aesthetic may be refined in response to market feedback regarding the MacBook Neo. These upcoming products are anticipated to incorporate Galaxy AI capabilities and an enhanced iteration of Samsung DeX, aimed at fostering seamless cross-device collaboration and boosting productivity. Considering Samsung's extensive product ecosystem, which has been plagued by inconsistent systems that detract from the overall user experience, the Galaxy Book laptops equipped with One UI are expected to hit the market by the end of 2026.
