On April 30, the public security agency issued a set of safety guidelines specifically tailored for drone operations. These guidelines underscore that real-name registration is a fundamental prerequisite for any drone flight, which must be duly completed via the Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) Comprehensive Management Platform, commonly referred to as the UOM platform. Verifying the attributes of the intended airspace is of paramount importance; operators must ensure that their flight area falls within permissible airspace boundaries. During flight, it is strictly prohibited for micro, light, and small drones to ascend beyond an altitude of 120 meters. Moreover, these drones are barred from entering restricted zones, including but not limited to military restricted areas, airports, high-speed railways, highways, and significant cultural heritage sites. In scenarios where minors are operating drones, it is imperative that they are accompanied and guided throughout the entire process by adults who possess proficient drone operation skills. This measure is in place to prevent minors from controlling drone models that surpass their operational qualifications.
