On April 29, 2026, WeChat's official account, "WeChat Pie," unveiled an enhancement to WeChat's sticker functionality, which now includes support for sending and viewing images in their original quality. Android users can take advantage of this new feature by updating their app to version 8.0.71 or later; however, the iOS version is still undergoing adaptation. This upgrade, a collaborative effort between WeChat and OPPO, empowers users to share incredibly high-resolution images—up to 200 megapixels—through stickers. It also simplifies the process, allowing for one-click viewing of original images and one-click sharing to Moments (WeChat's social feed feature).
