Microsoft is enhancing the Windows 11 installation experience by allowing users to skip mandatory updates during the initial boot-up or system reinstallation and proceed directly to the desktop. This feature has begun rolling out in phases to the stable version and is included in all the latest Windows 11 installation images and recent cumulative updates. Previously, after a clean installation or system reinstallation, the Out-of-Box Experience (OOBE) would mandatory requirement (this part should be translated as 'mandatorily require') users to install all pending updates, which was time-consuming. Now, users can click the 'Update Later' button during the OOBE phase to skip the installation step, shortening the system setup process and allowing feature updates and security patches to be completed automatically when the device is idle.
