According to the latest research findings from Omdia, the first quarter of 2026 witnessed a surge in product prices among certain brands, primarily attributed to escalating costs. This trend has precipitated an overall downturn in the mainland China smartphone market, with a projected year-on-year decline of 1% and shipments estimated to reach 69.8 million units. Notably, Huawei emerged as the frontrunner, shipping 13.9 million units and securing a 20% market share. Apple trailed closely behind with 13.1 million units shipped, commanding a 19% share of the market. OPPO, in its inaugural quarter post-realme's reintegration, shipped 11 million units, securing the third position. Vivo followed with 10.5 million units shipped, ranking fourth, while Xiaomi rounded out the top five with 8.7 million units shipped.
