On April 12, 2026, UGREEN Technology and BYD Battery inked a strategic cooperation pact in Shenzhen. The two entities will collaborate on the development and large-scale production of high-safety battery cells that adhere to the new national standard, the "Safety Technical Specifications for Power Banks." These battery cells will be fully integrated into UGREEN’s upcoming generation of power bank products. The new national standard is slated to take effect on April 1, 2027, and will notably elevate safety standards for conditions such as high temperatures, overcharging, and compression. This partnership is geared towards bolstering product safety, with UGREEN power banks outfitted with BYD’s new national standard battery cells poised for imminent release.
