According to the latest report from market research firm Counterpoint Research, in the fourth quarter of 2025, the Apple iPhone series managed to secure a remarkable five positions out of the top 10 best-selling smartphones worldwide. Among these, the iPhone 17 Pro Max claimed the top spot, with the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Pro following closely behind in second and third place, respectively. The iPhone 16 also fared well, landing in fourth place, while the iPhone 16e took the eighth spot. Notably, the iPhone Air missed out on making it to the top 10. On the other hand, Samsung secured four spots on the list with four of its models, and Xiaomi made its mark with the REDMI A5, which ranked ninth. The top 10 best-selling models collectively contributed to 23% of global smartphone sales during that quarter, with the iPhone 17 Pro Max alone accounting for a significant 5%. Throughout the entire year of 2025, Apple iPhone models consistently ranked in the top three of the annual best-selling list. Meanwhile, Samsung and Xiaomi alternated in the rankings on a quarterly basis, showcasing the dynamic nature of the global smartphone market.
