According to data released by the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT), the domestic market witnessed the shipment of 22.866 million mobile phones in January 2026, marking a year-on-year decline of 16.1%. Notably, out of these, 19.870 million units were 5G-enabled phones, experiencing a 15.9% decrease compared to the same period last year, yet still constituting a significant 86.9% share of the total shipments.
