Apple is poised to unveil its inaugural touchscreen MacBook Pro, a device engineered to be “touch-optimized” without fundamentally reshaping users’ conventional understanding of Macs. The macOS 27, slated for release in 2027, will refine interaction logic, enabling users to effortlessly transition between touch and pointer-click modes, with touch functionality serving as a complementary feature. System interaction elements will adapt dynamically based on the input method and will support a range of iPad-style gesture controls. This product could hit the market as soon as later this year, boasting the M6 series chip and an OLED display. The revamped 14-inch and 16-inch models will undergo substantial aesthetic upgrades, ditching the “notch” design for a punch-hole camera and incorporating the “Dynamic Island” UI. Furthermore, the long-rumored Apple foldable iPad is anticipated to launch in 2029, continuing the design ethos of the iPad lineup.
