On February 25, Li Nan, the visionary founder of Angry Miao and erstwhile Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) of Meizu Technology, revealed in a post that over two years prior, he had crafted a clandestine strategy. This strategy was designed to breathe new life into the Meizu brand by significantly streamlining its workforce to a mere few hundred individuals. Nevertheless, the plan's full execution was thwarted by excessively drastic downsizing measures. Li Nan posits that the leadership team, devoid of substantial market competition experience, was unlikely to embrace such a bold strategy, despite it being the sole viable path to rescue Meizu. He underscored the importance of having an elite, courageous, and cohesive core team, asserting that without such a team, the execution of any strategic or tactical plan would be futile.
