Xiaomi's yearly flagship model focusing on imaging technology, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra, is slated for its worldwide debut in Barcelona on February 28. Prior to its official release, specifics regarding the international edition have emerged, showcasing a remarkable similarity to the domestic version in terms of core specifications, with only slight modifications to the battery setup. The international edition boasts a 6000mAh battery, which is 800mAh smaller compared to the 6800mAh battery found in its domestic counterpart. This alteration is made to adhere to the International Air Transport Association (IATA) regulations and the transportation standards for hazardous materials in select regions, thereby guaranteeing compliance in logistics and ensuring safety during transit.
Beyond the battery capacity, the international edition upholds exceptional performance and imaging prowess. It is outfitted with a vast 6.9-inch display, powered by Qualcomm's fifth-generation Snapdragon 8 Supreme platform, and features 16GB of RAM. Additionally, it incorporates an imaging system co-developed with Leica, encompassing a 50-megapixel primary camera and a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto lens. On the software side, the international edition comes pre-loaded with HyperOS 3, a highly customized operating system based on Android 16.
