Meanwhile, its Flyme Auto in-car system division will continue to function independently, and the Meizu brand might persist within the broader Geely ecosystem. The Starry Meizu Feishu group, which currently boasts slightly over a thousand members, has witnessed an exodus of many employees, with a select few being reassigned to Zeekr Auto. Since April 2025, Meizu has been postponing payments to its suppliers, accumulating a substantial volume of bad debts. This has sparked internal evaluations that could potentially culminate in a bankruptcy filing. Furthermore, the development of the Meizu 23 series, initially planned for a 2026 release, has been put on hold, and the launch of the 22 Air has been scrapped amidst skyrocketing memory prices.
