On January 9, the Xiangyun AS700, a domestically developed manned airship, accomplished a round-trip journey from Jingmen to Wuhan, heralding the nation's inaugural commercial flight of a manned airship. The AS700 stands as China's pioneering short takeoff and landing (STOL)/vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) manned airship, crafted in strict adherence to airworthiness standards and boasting complete independent intellectual property rights. With an overall length of 50 meters, a maximum range of 700 kilometers, and a capacity to carry 10 passengers, it represents a significant leap in China's aerospace capabilities.
