During the 2026 Meizu Fan Spring Festival Event, Meizu made an official announcement regarding the upcoming release of the Meizu 23 smartphone in the same year. This new model is set to offer an even more refined hand feel, featuring the narrowest bezels ever seen on a Meizu device. However, it will bid farewell to the white front panel design. Consequently, the Meizu 22 will hold the distinction of being the industry's 'final' smartphone generation to sport a white front panel. Furthermore, Meizu has assured consumers that the price of the Meizu 22 will remain stable indefinitely. Earlier, in September 2025, Huang Zhipan, the CEO of Starry Meizu, had already hinted at the approval of the Meizu 23 project, with a scheduled launch date set for mid-2026.
