At the CES exhibition, the TS Pro electric motorcycle, a new offering from the Finnish brand Verge, became a major head-turner. This vehicle is outfitted with a hubless motor that packs over 100 horsepower, enabling it to accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in a mere 3.5 seconds, a testament to its impressive power. What's even more remarkable is that it is the first mass-produced electric motorcycle in the world to feature a solid-state battery. With an energy density as high as 400Wh/kg, this battery enables the motorcycle to travel up to 600 kilometers on a single charge. Additionally, it supports 200kW fast charging, allowing riders to add 300 kilometers of range with just a 10-minute charge. The hubless motor design does away with traditional transmission components, thus enhancing transmission efficiency. Meanwhile, the solid-state battery addresses common concerns about range and charging time, while also boosting safety. However, the motorcycle's steep price tag, starting at approximately 209,000 RMB, may pose a hurdle to its widespread adoption in the market.
