Today, Google and XREAL unveiled an expansion of their strategic partnership, designating XREAL as the lead hardware collaborator for the Android XR ecosystem. This enhanced alliance aims to tightly align XREAL's long-term hardware innovation blueprint with the Android XR framework. Together, they will actively foster the utilization of Android XR in optical see-through gadgets and bolster support for Android XR developers. Notably, the jointly developed wired XR glasses, Project Aura, which come pre-installed with the Android XR system, made their first appearance at CES and are slated for release this year.
