Recently, a Reddit user shared their ordeal: they had placed an order for a Corsair VENGEANCE a5100 gaming PC at the price of $3,499 on New Year's Eve. However, to their astonishment, the official canceled the order without providing any reason. Subsequently, they found that the product's price had soared to $4,299, marking an $800 increase. This incident quickly sparked accusations from the public, with many alleging that Corsair was engaging in the unscrupulous practice of "canceling orders first and then raising prices."

The disgruntled netizen elaborated that despite having received order confirmation and an invoice, their order was still canceled unexpectedly. Moreover, the new price tag far exceeded their budget, rendering it impossible for them to purchase a comparable high-end PC within a short timeframe.

In response to the uproar, Corsair issued a statement clarifying that the order cancellation was due to a misjudgment by their anti-fraud system, which had flagged the transaction as abnormal. Furthermore, they explained that the promotional offer had concluded on January 1st, and as a result, the price had reverted to its original level. Corsair firmly denied any malicious intent behind the price hike.

To address the customer's concerns, Corsair has reached out to the affected individual, pledging to honor the original order at the price of $3,499. They also assured the customer that measures have been taken to prevent such incorrect order blockages from recurring in the future.
