Data from Runto Technology indicates that in 2025, global shipments of AR glasses are projected to hit 1.1 million units, signifying a 41% year-on-year surge. In the Chinese market, sales are expected to climb to 452,000 units, reflecting a nearly 70% increase compared to the previous year. As for global smart glasses shipments, they are forecast to soar to 6.3 million units, a remarkable 110% year-on-year jump. The Chinese market, in particular, is predicted to reach 1.37 million units, showcasing a staggering 215.7% year-on-year rise.

Runto Technology posits that the inclusion of smart glasses in the national subsidy program is a strategic move to "stimulate consumption, foster industrial growth, and enhance people's well-being." This positions smart glasses as a pivotal sector for next-generation smart terminals. The National Development and Reform Commission, along with the Ministry of Finance, has announced that the subsidy coverage for digital and smart products will be expanded to encompass smart glasses in 2026. The subsidy rate will remain consistent with that of 2025, set at 15% of the selling price, with a maximum subsidy cap of 500 yuan.
