On December 23, 2025, the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) added all drones not manufactured in the U.S. (including those produced by DJI) to its "Restricted List." In response, at a regular press briefing, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian stated that China firmly opposes the U.S. side's broad and indiscriminate application of national security concerns, the creation of discriminatory lists, and the unjustifiable crackdown on Chinese companies. China urges the United States to rectify its erroneous actions and foster a business environment for Chinese enterprises that is fair, equitable, and free from discrimination.

DJI, for its part, voiced regret over the FCC's decision, noting that it limits the freedom of choice for American consumers and commercial users while violating the market principles of openness and fair competition.
