On December 22 (local time), the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) declared its intention to include China’s DJI, along with all drones and related components manufactured overseas, on the national security “Controlled List.” This move effectively bars the import or sale of most such products within the United States. Any equipment listed on this roster will be disqualified from obtaining FCC certification—a prerequisite for importing and selling the vast majority of electronic products in the US market. Nevertheless, drones manufactured abroad and their essential components that are already present within the US will remain unaffected by this policy adjustment.
