The 'Near-Field Rapid Pairing' functionality streamlines the device connection procedure, offering a hassle-free experience akin to pairing AirPods. Meanwhile, 'Notification Synchronization' empowers third-party smartwatches to manage iPhone notifications seamlessly. It's worth noting that, owing to system resource constraints, iPhones will be capable of forwarding notifications to just one device at any given time. Presently, these features are accessible to developers for testing purposes and support a diverse array of device types. iOS 26.3 is anticipated to be officially launched in late January 2026, with the exclusive availability of these new features limited to iPhone and iPad users in the EU region.
