In the face of a substantial global upswing in memory prices, Apple is markedly boosting the portion of iPhone memory procured from Samsung. The supply chain's attention is gradually pivoting towards this South Korean conglomerate. As per a report from the Korea Economic Daily, with memory prices soaring at a rapid pace, Apple is augmenting the proportion of iPhone memory supplied by Samsung. It is projected that for the upcoming iPhone 17 series, Samsung will account for roughly 60% to 70% of the low-power DRAM supply. Previously, the market for this type of memory was more evenly split between Samsung and SK Hynix, with Micron serving as a relatively minor supplier.
