Policies are continuously ramping up support for the senior products market. This is achieved through the formulation of standardized systems, the promotion of “silver-age” certification programs, the expansion of promotional catalogs, and the launch of initiatives aimed at benefiting the elderly and assisting enterprises. These efforts are precisely tailored to meet the evolving upgrade trends on the demand side. By 2024, the market size has already surpassed 5.4 trillion yuan, boasting a compound annual growth rate of 7.3%. This growth spans a wide array of sectors, including care aids, smart wearables, and senior-friendly home furnishings. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has unveiled four batches of catalogs, showcasing nearly 2,000 high-quality products. Furthermore, it has collaborated with multiple departments to advance six major initiatives. These initiatives encompass product innovation, industrial upgrading, standard certification, and the alignment of supply and demand. As a result, 376,000 enterprises have been enticed to participate, with an anticipated 73,000 new entrants by 2025. Propelled by these policies, senior products are undergoing a transformation towards intelligence, personalization, and service orientation. This is fostering a high-quality development pattern that harmonizes supply with demand.
