On December 10th, it was reported that the previous day, December 9th, marked the official launch of the Joint Laboratory for Flying Cars in Hefei. This laboratory is a collaborative effort among Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Group Corp., Ltd., the Hefei Unmanned Intelligent Equipment Research Institute of Beijing Institute of Technology, and IAT Automobile Technology Co., Ltd. As per the agreement, the laboratory will concentrate on collaborative research and development across nine key domains. These domains encompass aerodynamic design optimization, efficient energy propulsion systems, and precise flight control mechanisms, covering every stage of flying car development from conceptual design to operational deployment. The laboratory aims to progressively establish a robust technical framework and an experimental validation platform, thereby bolstering the low-altitude economic sector and shaping the future of transportation.
