The Dutch ethical electronics company Fairphone has just rolled out its latest iteration of over-ear noise-cancelling headphones, the Fairbuds XL. These headphones boast a design that's not only disassemblable but also highly repairable, thanks to their modular architecture. This means users can effortlessly swap out components like the battery, headband, and speakers when needed.

Powered by 40mm drivers, these headphones promise to deliver crystal-clear treble, rich mids, and deep, resonant bass, all complemented by hybrid active noise cancellation technology. When it comes to battery life, users can enjoy up to 26 hours of continuous play with noise cancellation activated, and an impressive 30 hours when it's turned off.

Currently available in two sleek colors—Ink Black and Forest Green—the headphones are priced at a competitive $229. While initially exclusive to the European market, their entry into the U.S. market marks a significant expansion for Fairphone, offering consumers worldwide access to their sustainable and user-friendly audio solutions.
