During today's edition of The Android Show, Google, for the first time, divulged crucial information regarding its smart glasses, Project Aura, along with the Android XR system. Project Aura, recognized as system-level reference hardware by Google, represents a groundbreaking moment as it's the inaugural instance where Gemini AI is endowed with the ability to 'perceive the world.' This innovative product leverages XREAL's proprietary X1S chip, boasting a 70° optical see-through field of view. This enables a seamless, closed-loop AI experience, progressing from 'perception' to 'comprehension' and culminating in 'interaction.' The core hardware development of Project Aura was spearheaded by a Chinese team, with its supply chain firmly anchored in the Yangtze River Delta region. The official launch of this product is slated for 2026.
