Samsung has officially kicked off the One UI 8.5 Beta testing initiative, specifically aimed at users of the Galaxy S25 series smartphones. The inaugural phase of testing encompasses six nations, namely the United States, the United Kingdom, and South Korea, among others.

Based on Google's Android 16 QPR2 platform, One UI 8.5 boasts a complete overhaul of its visual aesthetics, integrating 3D-inspired icons for a more immersive experience. Regarding intelligent functionalities, it significantly boosts AI and connectivity prowess, unveiling an enhanced 'Photo Assistant' and a novel 'Storage Sharing' capability.

From a security standpoint, it introduces an 'Authentication Failure Lock' feature and revamps the power management interface. Qualified users have the opportunity to sign up and download the installation package through the Samsung Members app. Considering that the beta version might harbor bugs or display erratic performance, users are cautioned to proceed with care when installing it on their primary devices.
